he Belk Theater is the largest venue in the North Carolina Blumenthal Performing Arts Center, seating 2100 at its full-capacity configuration. It features state-of-the-art equipment, production and support capabilities and can host any event - from grand opera to rock to corporate annual meetings and lectures. The theater is designed in a contemporary European horseshoe arrangement for an intimate atmosphere and world-class acoustics. The most distant seat is less than 135 feet from the stage. A hallmark of the theater's design is some 2,400 "points of light" in the audience chamber, part of a dazzling fiber optic network with multi-color capabilities.

Belk Theater By Train (LYNX Blue Line)
The LYNX Blue Line offers fast, quiet, convenient light-rail service to 15 stations between uptown Charlotte and I-485 at South Blvd. Free park and ride lots are available at eight of the stations.
Blumenthal Center guests can disembark at the Charlotte Transportation Center/Arena Station on E. Trade Street, only a block from Founders Hall and the Belk Theater and Booth Playhouse. Guests attending shows at Spirit Square’s McGlohon Theatre or Duke Power Theatre will enjoy similar easy access from the Seventh Street Station.
Adult fare is $1.50 per ticket (each way). Youth and senior fares are only 75 cents. Trains will operate seven days a week from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m., and service is available every 7.5 minutes during weekday rush hour and every 15 minutes during non-peak hours. During weekday evenings the Blue Line will operate every 30 minutes. Weekend service will operate every 20 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes during late night hours.
